HOUSTON – October 6, 2022 – More than 130 members and friends of the Young Professionals in Energy gathered September 30th at the Greater Houston Sports Club for an afternoon of clay target shooting, prizes, delicious Goode Company barbecue and frosty beverages supplied by Houston Distributing Company. The 10th Annual Clay Shoot for a Cause raised more than $110,000 to support The Center for Pursuit in its mission to provide a state-of-the-art facility with innovative services and programs for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD), autism and other similar conditions.
“The Center is grateful for the sponsors and the Young Professionals in Energy for being there for us year in and year out.” said The Center for Pursuit’s President and CEO, Charles C. Canton. “The annual clay shoot remains one of the more popular events held on behalf of The Center. It not only generates donations but also helps introduce hundreds of young Houstonians to The Center and its services. This year, Mother Nature cooperated with fall-like temperatures and sunny skies that made the tenth anniversary all that more special.”
The following companies and individuals sponsored the event:
A total of 31 teams competed. When the clay pigeons stopped flying, the team consisting of Walter Scott, Cory Valentine, Blake Broussard, and Jeff Gunn landed in first place with a score of 273.
